The entire Bible testifies to Jesus Christ!
Did you know that the whole Bible testifies to Jesus, including the Old Testament? Together with evangelist Johan Schep, we will explore in several episodes to discover types and shadow images of Jesus, such as Adam and Joseph. We will also hear about literal appearances, such as the Angel of the Lord who visited Hagar in the wilderness.
Episode 1
In this first episode, Johan shares his background — growing up in Brazil and the Netherlands before eventually moving to Israel. In the solitude of the Negev desert, he discovers a small Bible in his backpack, a discovery that changes the course of his life.
Episode 2
Johan reminds us of an ancient promise: whoever seeks the Lord will find Him. When two distressed disciples walk the road to Emmaus after the crucifixion, Jesus appears to them, though they do not recognize Him. Yet, their hearts were seeking. The Messiah guides them through the Torah, the Psalms, and finally the prophets, unveiling how each spoke of Him.
Episode 3
In this third episode, Johan emphasizes the importance of putting God first in our lives and finding true rest in Him. Additionally, by exploring the nuances of the Hebrew language, we gain a deeper understanding of the profound meaning behind the words, “In the beginning…”
Episode 4
God knows what we need. Johan speaks to us about the most beautiful life on earth—one that is open, transparent, with a clear conscience, and at peace with God. We’re taken back to the Garden of Eden, to the moment when Satan attacked the first humans by sowing doubt about God’s words. Transparency was replaced by shame. But God offers words of comfort and promises a solution…
Episode 5
In the fifth episode of Yeshua in the Tenach, Johan explores the themes of God’s forgiveness and grace. Once again, we uncover the message of salvation early in the Old Testament, focusing on Genesis chapters 3 and 4.
Through the story of Cain and Abel, we see two contrasting paths—two roads that have echoed throughout history, leading in opposite directions. Abel, as a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, represents salvation through faith alone, rather than through a religious mindset.
Episode 6
What does it mean to truly walk with God?
In this episode, we explore Genesis chapter 5 and the remarkable life of Enoch, who walked closely with God. Enoch was taken to heaven without seeing death. Johan compares the distinct paths of Adam and Enoch, shedding light on their different circumstances while walking with God, offering hope and inspiration for our journey today.
